This immersive eight-day safari takes you deep into the heart of Tanzania’s Northern Serengeti during the peak of the Great Migration’s river-crossing season. From July to October, witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of thousands of wildebeest and zebras risking it all as they cross crocodile-filled rivers in pursuit of lush grazing lands.

Each evening, unwind in carefully selected lodges or camps strategically located near key migration routes, placing you in the center of the action throughout your journey.
Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be warmly welcomed by a safari representative and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha for check-in and relaxation.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart Arusha and head to Tarangire National Park. Known for its iconic baobab trees, large elephant herds, and abundant birdlife, Tarangire offers a rich safari experience. Enjoy a full day of game drives with chances to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, and more. In the evening, transfer to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Tarangire to Central Serengeti National Park
Leave Tarangire early after breakfast and enjoy a scenic drive through Tanzania’s beautiful landscapes en route to the Central Serengeti. Arrive around midday and embark on an afternoon game drive in the Seronera area, home to lions, elephants, giraffes, and zebras. In the evening, check into your accommodation for dinner and rest.
Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Central Serengeti
Spend a full day exploring the Central Serengeti. Begin with an early morning game drive when predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs are most active. Spot elephants, wildebeest, zebras, and abundant birdlife as you traverse the plains. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic location before continuing your adventure. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.
Day 5: Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti
After a morning game drive in the Seronera Valley, depart toward the Northern Serengeti. En route, enjoy wildlife sightings and changing scenery. This region is famous for the Great Migration river crossings (July–October), where wildebeest and zebras brave the crocodile-infested Mara River. After a picnic lunch, explore the area further and finish the day with a sunset game drive before settling into your lodge.
Day 6: Full Day in Northern Serengeti
Start early with a game drive along the Mara River, a hotspot for dramatic migration scenes. Witness wildebeest and zebras attempting river crossings while predators lurk nearby. Enjoy breakfast in the bush, followed by continued exploration of the migration routes throughout the day. After a packed lunch in the field, check various river vantage points before ending the day with a sunset drive and returning to your lodge.
Day 7: Northern Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast and a final morning game drive, begin the journey south toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive takes about 6–7 hours, offering scenic views across the Serengeti and the highlands. Have a packed lunch en route and arrive at your lodge near the crater rim in the afternoon. Settle in, relax, and enjoy dinner.
Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater to Kilimanjaro International Airport
After breakfast, depart your lodge and begin the journey to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Enjoy the drive through picturesque villages and highland landscapes. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for lunch or shopping stops in Arusha. Arrive at JRO in time for your international departure, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure in Tanzania.
