Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport via your Delta/KLM flight, you’ll be met by your guide who will escort you to your accommodation in Arusha for overnight. Depending on your arrival time, you can choose to relax at the lodge or explore a bit of the city. Get ready—your safari adventure begins tomorrow!
Pick-up at 8:30 AM from your hotel in Arusha. You’ll drive to Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive. Famous for its grand baobab trees and large herds of elephants, Tarangire offers a great introduction to Tanzania’s rich wildlife. Along the Tarangire River, keep your eyes open for lions, leopards, buffalo, and giraffes, as well as countless species of birds. After your game drive, head to your camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, begin your journey toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The road takes you through the Ngorongoro highlands and into the vast Serengeti plains. By the afternoon, you’ll be in the heart of the action—the Seronera region, known for its abundant wildlife and permanent water source, the Seronera River. Enjoy your first game drive in the Serengeti, followed by dinner and overnight at your lodge/camp in Central Serengeti.
Today is a full day to explore the incredible Central Serengeti, the land of lions, leopards, and cheetahs. You can opt for a relaxed morning and head out around 9:00 AM with a packed lunch or leave early at 6:00 AM for a sunrise game drive followed by breakfast and a second drive later. Either way, expect unforgettable sightings—from large prides of lions to grazing herbivores and thrilling predator-prey interactions. Return in the evening for dinner and a restful night.
After breakfast, enjoy a short morning game drive in the Serengeti before starting your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, stop for a picnic lunch and take in the stunning views. Arrive at your lodge/camp near the crater rim in time for dinner and overnight. Get some rest—the crater tour awaits tomorrow.
Rise early and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater by 6:30 AM for a 5-hour game drive on the crater floor, often described as one of the world’s most remarkable wildlife havens. Spot African elephants, black rhinos, lions, and hippos, and enjoy your picnic lunch beside the Hippo Pool. After the game drive, ascend back to the rim and begin your return drive to Arusha. You'll be dropped off at your preferred location by around 6:00 PM.
