This 5-day luxury safari allows you to experience the highlights of the Northern Safari Circuit. We’ll experience breathtaking wildlife in the mid of diverse landscapes; monkeys in the forest, lions in the trees, elephants among the acacias and a huge variety of animals inside a collapsed volcano. We’ll also visit the Serengeti National Park, home to some 3 million animals. These spectacular grass plains offer the best opportunity of viewing cheetah, leopard, and lion in the true wild.
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Arusha early in the morning. You will then drive approximately 2.5 hours to Tarangire National Park. The park is named after the Tarangire River, the only water source during the dry season and a magnet for wildlife. Known for its large elephant herds, Tarangire also offers sightings of giraffes, hartebeest, bushbuck, and predators like lions and leopards. The park is also a haven for bird enthusiasts, boasting the highest number of breeding bird species in the world. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, followed by an afternoon game drive. After the safari, you’ll head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park with an en-route drive offering scenic views. Serengeti is one of the world’s most celebrated wildlife reserves, known for its endless plains and rich wildlife. The park is especially famous for the Great Migration, a spectacular annual movement of millions of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes in search of greener pastures. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch and a game drive through the park. Later in the evening, head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, spend a full day exploring the wonders of the Serengeti. The park's untouched ecosystem and open grasslands provide ideal conditions for spotting a wide range of animals including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and countless bird species. You’ll have the opportunity to follow the migration trails and witness dramatic predator-prey interactions. Enjoy a packed lunch in the wild, and continue your game drive throughout the afternoon. Dinner and overnight will be at Acacia Seronera Luxury Camp.
Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti before heading toward Ngorongoro. As you approach the crater, you’ll be welcomed by breathtaking views of what looks like a lost world hidden within volcanic walls. The Ngorongoro Crater, formed two to three million years ago, is now a rich wildlife sanctuary. Its diverse habitats support a high concentration of animals including wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and over 500 bird species. After a picnic lunch and an en-route game drive, you’ll arrive at your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend into the crater for one last safari experience. This is your best chance to spot the elusive black rhino, along with many other species in this natural wildlife haven often referred to as Africa’s Garden of Eden. Enjoy lunch at the hippo pool before continuing your game drive. After ascending from the crater, return to your lodge to check out and drive back to Arusha, where your journey concludes.
